Hurricane Sandy

I did not go to school when Sandy came.  My mom went outside.  We watched the Voice & the Looney Tunes.  I was happy because I had no school !!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And Masai and I cleaned our rooms.

Life of Pi - Spoiler Alert!

I think that the religious outlook is amazing. I think that if you are going to choose the animal version of the story, I encourage you not to choose it because it portrays the humans as a better figure but choose it if you believe a God can help you to survive an ordeal with a Bengal Tiger, a Hyena, a Zebra and an Orangutan.  I do admit that there was a time I despised reading that book, I even despised picking it up. My mother forced me to read it, but once I reached part 2, I was glued to the spot. I couldn't take my eyes off of that book.

Yucky germs

Germs are a very very very very very small yucky
Bacteria & I just saw pictures of them & they look like worms & they are green.
Germs come when your hands are Derty & when other parts of your body are
Derty. When germs get on you they make you sick. Germs are on the ground so
Don't eat off the ground or you will get sick. Don't drink out of a cup
That's not been washed. When you wash your hands the good germs attack the bad germs and the bad germs get smaller and smaller and smaller. Good germs are not derty but they are if they fall on the floor. Good bye bad germs. Now good germs are all over you. When germs are getting washed in the sink the good germs attack.

Beasts of the Southern Wild - (MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!)

Masai
The movie begins in the Bathtub with Hushpuppy celebrating. The Bathtub is the area that Hushpuppy and her friends live in. And in the Bathtub a hurricane and Hushpuppy and her dad had to live through.

After they got into their boat and went to their neighbors house to see if they were all right. When they got to the neighbors house and found that everyone was all right they had crab to eat and Hushpuppy broke the crab shell with her thumbs. And went "Grrrrrr," quotes Zora. The Bathtub is surrounded by water and is riddled with brooks and creeks.

They got some dynamite and blew up the wall that separated them from the richer people. Then a helicopter took them to a hospital. Hushpuppy's dad did not want to go to the hospital.

Zora
Storm. There was A storm.  Hushpuppy's  dad was shooting  the rain.  Hushpuppy said the seafood Taste was coming in her mouth. It's maybe why her mouth looks like this:
Sad.  Hushpuppy's fake dad died in the movie.  Hushpuppy was sad.  She & her dad cryd.

"Kumbaya"

The word "Kumbaya" comes from the Gullah people.  Some people think that "Kumbaya my Lord" is a song from Angola. But this is not true, the song originates from the Gullah people. An English professor heard the Gullah people singing the song and copied it on paper and then Americans took it to Angola. And now some people think that the song "Kumbaya my Lord" is from Angola.

The Liberty Bell

Some people think that the Liberty Bell cracked the first time it was rung. Others think it cracked when rung for the death of John Marshall. People think the Liberty Bell is an iconic symbol of independence. I think that they think so because the Liberty Bell is one of the few symbols in America that conducts such respect. It's located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In its early years it was used to summon lawmakers and other important people to public meetings. The Liberty Bell might have been one of the many bells rung at the reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Eat and wash your hands well

To eat healthy food is good because it is healthier than candy and it makes you healthy and it is good for you. You should eat well because some of the top ten causes of death are involved with eating and diet and nutrition. It is important to wash your hands well to stop food poisoning which causes around 9,000 deaths a year. The key to stop food poisoning is hand washing.

Volcanoes

The first time a volcano erupts it blasts off its top. Some people think that a volcano is a deep pit with Magma inside of it, which it is not. A volcano is a mountain that forced itself through weak spots in the earth's crust. A volcano with non-vicious Magma inside it usually will be flat but also kind of cone shaped. A volcano with vicious Magma in it will most likely be cone shaped like the volcanoes shown in pictures and stuff (see below).
Magma and Lava have a very small difference: Magma is in a volcano and Lava is out. Since Lava is out of the volcano, it is a little cooler. Some volcanologists use the gas level around the volcano to tell if it will erupt.

Carbon Monoxide - is our fireplace a danger?

Yes. Your fire may produce Carbon Monoxide, which is a gas that may cause illness or death, if it is not given enough air. Carbon Monoxide is a colorless odorless gas. If you open some vents when you light a fire that helps to stop carbon monoxide.
